RECREATIONAL RIDES and events …WITH A CAUSE

The Gateway Cup is more than an event for racers. We feature recreational rides, runs, and events for people of all ages and athletic abilities.

Thursday Evening– Racers and bicycle racing fans are invited to Urban Chestnut Brewing Company in the Grove for LIVE SHOW panel conversation by Criterium Nation. Criterium Nation is the leading US podcast on all things CRIT.  Join host Rob Kelly and a panel of Pro’s for some honest talk on the US criterium racing scene. Arrive by 7:00pm, show starts at 7:30pm.

Saturday Morning– Racers- sign up for a FREE event and pre-ride the course with participants from MANY local organizations that assist challenged cyclists. Share your love for cycling with some amazing kids, families, and friends. Riders- come ride and show that cycling is for EVERYONE at the Gateway Cup Ride to Unite. For one hour before Stage 2, The Tour de Francis Park- the course is open to everyone to enjoy an inspiring ride. Cost: FREE

Sunday Morning- In addition to supporting worthwhile organizations, recreational riders can take in the scenery of some of St. Louis’ beautiful and historic neighborhoods — even more incentive to get out for a Labor Day Weekend ride at Trailnet’s Giro della Montagna Ride.

Sunday AfternoonGet yer tickets!  We are hosting an exclusive VIP viewing party at Turn 1 of the Giro della Montagna. Proceeds benefit Pedal the Cause. Raffles, wine, spirits, food, and a great time. Find out more here!

Sunday Evening– Post race. Head over to Urban Chestnut Brewery in the Grove. From 7pm until 10pm, UCBC is keeping their kitchen open and taps flowing post Giro della Montagna for the racers and fans. Monday Morning – Start Labor Day off running or walking at the Benton Park Classic. Get moving and then spend the day exploring the historic Benton Park neighborhood. Lace up your kicks and participate in the Race for Reconciliation, a walk/run with a powerful message.
